Mon choix VideoPick:  Un clip tiré du nouvel album “ Circulo Radiante” de l’artiste/ poète Argentine Soema Montenegro. Cette vidéo a été enregistrée dans la Quebrada de las Señoritas, en avril 2023. Trois mois plus tard, les communautés autochtones de Jujuy, les enseignants, les travailleurs et les villageois, ont lancé un processus de résistance contre la réforme constitutionnelle de la province qui subit des répressions violentes.

My VideoPick: New album from Soema Montenegro… ““I had a spiritual need to create music that speaks of the land, that can say what cannot be expressed in words. I work with sonic gestures and wanted to incorporate electronic music that could replicate the landscape through sounds” Caminante is a fierce ode to the joy of nature and the urgency to protect it.

Mon choix VideoPick: Le clip du titre BIEN est une déambulation d’Eno Zangoun sur l’île de la Réunion, une échappée Maloya dans la Réunion d’aujourd’hui. Kosasa ( collectif) c’est aussi un documentaire poétique et musical, instantané d’une île française de l’Océan Indien, collée à Madagascar, entre l’Inde et l’Afrique du Sud, territoire multiple et riche de siècles de brassages et d’expériences.

 

 

 

 

My VideoPick: …KOSASA is a very special project. It is a beautiful story, a story of friendship, a reunion at Ile de la Reunion. Guitarist David Suissa brought together 12 artists from France and la Reunion in a laboratoire setting to create an album, a documentary, clips and a photo-book of a rare beauty. Here I share a first clip from the album “Fé Lèv Lo Mort” and also the film of their voyage “ KOSASA”. Enjoy and share!

Mon choix VideoPick: L’ album “ Double You” est un autre croisement de cordes exceptionnel réunissant deux artistes de premier plan. Bien connue dans mes émissions, la harpiste Galloise Catrin Finch ( Seckou Keita, Lee House et Cimarron ) nous revient avec cette fois une violoniste de Dublin tout aussi aventureuse: Aoife Ni Bhrain…un duo virtuose pour aller plus loin.

My VideoPick: … New video by Mokoomba– Every year there is a ceremony “Lukumbi” that brings together the Luvale people and other guests. Everyone including the chief and his deputies and of course, the village beauties join this week of celebration. For the first time in history the MAKISI masquerade and dancers are featured in a music video. MAKISI is a sacred culture and tradition of the people along the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe and Zambia.
